The pupil premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement.
All schools are required to report on the amount of funding received and how this is being used.
At The Kassia Academy, most learners are dual registered with mainstream schools. As such, we do not directly receive pupil premium funding for all children as this is often used to fund their Alternative Provision placements with us. Pupil Premium funding is received however for eligible learners who are single registered and for Children in Care through Personal Education Plans.
In order to ensure learners are not disadvantaged, a Pupil Premium budget plan is completed to support learners eligible for the PP Grant. Children in Care are monitored separately re impact of monies and support received.
